Requirements

  • Open availability, including early days, weekends, and 3-4 days per week (freight handling a plus)

  • Ability to perform variety of roles: Cashier, Stocker, Customer Courtesy
  • Skilled in using POS systems, hand-held scan guns, 10 keypads, countertop scales
  • Ability to use reach trucks and pallet jacks for product movement and stocking
  • Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software
  • Capable of physical tasks including replenishing freight, rotating products (FIFO), labeling merchandise, and assisting with inventory

Responsibilities

  • Ensure superior customer service by developing relationships, assisting customers, and promoting store services
  • Perform front-end duties: sales and cash functions (scanning, weighing, looking up products), cart-to-cart transfers, receipt checking, store opening/closing
  • Report barcode discrepancies, low stock levels, and product issues to leads or management
  • Work on sales floor in departments (Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply): assist customers, increase sales, manage shrinkage
  • Receive inventory shipments, stock shelves neatly, rotate products (FIFO), perform product quality audits, down-stock freight
  • Label merchandise accurately (blaster tagging, catch weight labels, PLU tags)
  • Ensure products are accessible, visually appealing, and available; assist with price changes
  • Participate in special events like Vendor Fairs, sales floor resets, inventory processes
  • Assist with store opening/closing duties as directed
