Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple district managers within a geographic region
  • Adjusts sales goals and procedures for each district based on goals set for the whole region
  • Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
  • Oversees multiple stores within a specified region
  • Hires and trains store managers/sales associates
  • Meets corporate sales targets and creates a positive working environment for each store in their region
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff
  • Supports store managers and acts as a resource
  • Monitors the performance of teams and motivates them to reach targets
  • Deals with customer queries and complaints
  • Oversees pricing and stock control
  • Immediately addresses any lapses in compliance with corporate policies or local/national laws
  • Prepares promotional materials and displays
  • Maximizes profitability and sets/meets sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
  • Maintains statistical and financial records
  • Keeps up to date with competitors
  • Performs other duties as assigned (5%)
