Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience, ideally with emphasis on Sales and Marketing
  • Proven track record in building good relationships with customers and internal associates
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify needs and opportunities
  • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of business information tools
  • Available to travel away from home a minimum of 20% of working time
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a car
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, move up to 55 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance stairs/ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, with close vision, distant vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision, and stand for extended periods
  • Strong math skills with ability to understand wholesaler margin, retailer cost of goods calculation, and market discount structures (preferred)
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills (preferred)
  • Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on commitments (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with minimum direction (preferred)
  • Two years professional experience and/or familiarity with CPG or beverage industries (preferred)
  • Bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Visit and review a rotating sample of key accounts within area of responsibility based on sales goals
  • Identify execution issues (e.g., compliance with planograms, mandates, authorizations) and correct as possible
  • Communicate execution issues to Market Development Manager and/or Key and National Account Managers; ensure follow-up and resolution
  • Share execution best practices with wholesalers through Market Development Manager
  • Provide market intelligence to Business Unit to improve retail execution approach
  • Support wholesaler training and development initiatives for local and regional chain accounts
  • Identify market-specific business development opportunities
  • Conduct market surveys in conjunction with key CBBD promotional windows
  • Work collaboratively with local wholesaler to sell CBBD key programming and initiatives to on- and off-premise retail
  • Execute new product roll-out plans in conjunction with Market Development Manager and Key and National Account Managers
  • Proactively identify challenges for new product introductions and make recommendations to Market Development Manager
  • Identify code date/aging inventory problems and make recommendations to Market Development Manager
  • Perform additional duties as required
