Requirements

Candidates must have at least 3 years of footage research experience and a strong understanding of news footage and the creative process behind footage selection. A basic understanding of copyright, intellectual property, and rights of privacy is required, along with proven customer-facing project management experience and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects on time and in scope without supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Avid, NCS, and Galaxy is necessary, though training will be provided. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is also required.

Responsibilities

The Research and Archival Content Specialist is responsible for managing the asset retrieval process for third parties creating productions owned by ABC NEWS. This includes researching and finding suitable ABC NEWS content in the proprietary database, communicating findings to clients, and liaising with outside production companies hired to produce content from the ABC library. The role also involves managing the delivery workflow for screening and master files, recording and cataloging each asset delivered, and performing various administrative tasks.
