Requirements

  • University degree, college diploma, or relevant sales experience
  • Sales-related certification is an asset
  • Must be bilingual (English/French)
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably in building materials
  • Must be a good communicator
  • Must possess strong sales skills and the ability to establish lasting client relationships
  • Valid class "5" driver's license and ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Visit potential clients to develop new accounts and expand the company’s product offering within the assigned territory
  • Visit existing clients to maintain regular communication and manage account growth
  • Maintain customer relationships and respond effectively to requests, concerns, or any other client inquiries
  • Communicate with the manager regarding market changes (e.g., prices, products, and general market conditions)
  • Keep clients informed about product changes and/or new product offerings
  • Work with clients during trade shows and promotions
  • Communicate with the manager about potential sales and marketing strategies
  • Conduct inspections and report on warranty claims
