Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Practical knowledge of sales techniques gained through education and sales experience

  • Developing professional expertise to apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues

Responsibilities

  • Remotely sells Medtronic's products and retains end-user patients within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals
  • Identifies, develops, and closes leads for the business and refers internal leads when appropriate
  • Provides input on new markets, new product introductions, and existing products or supplies
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services
  • Manages and responds to customer concerns and problems
  • Arranges demonstration of products by field sales representatives
  • Assists field sales representatives in the planning and execution of sales activities, including sales calls, data analysis, customer opportunities, and sales rep follow-up
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships, develops new customer relationships, implements sales strategies, and closes sales
  • Works independently with general supervision to manage multiple small to mid-size accounts
  • Achieves individual sales targets by selling products/services, developing new accounts, and/or expanding existing accounts
  • Helps set objectives or goals for individual or team accounts
  • Works on larger, moderately complex accounts or manages a small or medium-sized quota/territory
  • Understands market landscape, marketing, and pricing structure, with influence on pricing
  • Works with sales, marketing, and finance to structure complex contracts
  • Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in sales processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness
  • Recommends changes in account tactics to achieve sales goals
  • Communicates with external customers and/or vendors, involving negotiation and/or presentations to manage relationships and close sales
  • May provide guidance and assistance to entry-level sales professionals and/or support employees
