Account Executive (Project Manager)

Position Overview

The Account Executive (Project Manager) serves as the primary point of contact for all activities related to multiple accounts or one large account. This role may involve managing junior project management staff and ensuring the success of all accounts, including the development of future business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Services and maintains positive relationships with current customer base.
  • Identifies customer needs and solves problems.
  • Understands and performs cost savings analysis for customers.
  • Generates new sales by promoting products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Troubleshoots problems for customers.
  • Prepares various reports as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of Account Management experience, managing large retail accounts.
    • Minimum 5 years of Management/Supervisory experience.
    • Experience working with millwork manufacturing is highly preferred but not required.
    • Preferred manufacturing background, but not required.
    • Preferred experience and knowledge of UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
    • Consistently demonstrates skills, knowledge, and abilities capable of leading multiple and/or large complex projects that may include advanced global execution and logistics.
    • Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external vendors with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
    • Ability to problem-solve and offer continuous improvement opportunities.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, including delegating tasks.
    • Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other business applications.

Compensation & Benefit Information

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000 annually (pay based on location and cost of living)
  • Bonus/Incentive Pay: A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
