Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily or commercial design. Proficiency in Mitek software is essential, and a strong understanding of floor and roof systems, including beam and hanger specifications, is required. Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) are also necessary.
As a Multifamily Designer, you will be responsible for designing metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels using Mitek software, creating optimized layouts for roof and floor trusses, walls, and other structural components, reviewing orders and layouts for accuracy, supporting sales and production teams with design expertise, preparing reports and documentation, and continuously improving design processes and resource utilization.
