Regional Sales Director - Structural Heart TAVI

Position Overview

Abbott's Structural Heart TAVI team is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Director (RSD) to lead sales efforts in the Southwest region. This role is crucial in restoring health and improving the quality of life for patients through innovative device and management solutions for Structural Heart disease. The RSD will report to the US Area Vice President and is responsible for driving market leadership by ensuring our solutions advance the standard of care.

Location

The ideal candidate must reside within the Southwest region.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy to meet franchise goals.
    • Support and achieve the regional sales plan.
    • Foster proper targeting and drive customer and account engagement planning to advance the commercial sales process.
    • Provide accurate sales forecasting and drive accountability with forecasting.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and coach Territory Managers and Clinical Sales Specialists to build a high-performing team.
    • Recruit, onboard, coach for sales and clinical performance, and develop direct reports.
    • Assist individuals with quarterly goals, development plans, and provide annual performance reviews.
    • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential.
    • Empower the team to assist in the development of the TAVI franchise.
  • Clinical Support & Education:
    • Meet authorization training requirements to competently coach the team and improve customer interface for TAVI procedures.
    • Coach the team on proactively supporting TAVI procedures to achieve safe outcomes.
    • Drive continuing education within the region to ensure quality and best-in-class customer support.
  • Market Opportunity & Performance:
    • Assist territory managers and clinical sales specialists in identifying and evaluating market opportunities and sales potential.
    • Establish and achieve sales and clinical objectives.
  • Operational Compliance:
    • Monitor team compliance with SFDC, Mentor, Power BI, and Vablet.
  • Team Culture & Environment:
    • Develop a safe learning environment and an uncompromised positive team culture.
    • Create an entrepreneurial and supportive work environment through weekly team calls, discovery workshops, regional meetings, and individual discussions.
  • Additional Leadership:
    • Assist with contract negotiation and customer engagement.
    • Manage performance management of direct reports.

Travel

Travel may exceed 50%, depending on staffing and regional demands.
