  • Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 + Commissions
  • Territory Preference: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama (but open to candidates based anywhere in the United States)
  • Reports To: Director of Sales

Parallel is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join our team, responsible for new business sales in K-12 schools (charter, private, and public elementary/primary school districts). This role involves owning the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, building strong relationships with senior-level School District Officials, and showcasing Parallel’s services and value.

Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable about Parallel’s products, services, and prospective customer personas, and articulate the value proposition fluently.
  • Own the full-cycle sales process, including prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers to drive revenue generation and retention.
  • Accurately maintain customer and deal contact records and notes in Salesforce.
  • Meet annual Logo and revenue target quotas for sales of Parallel’s services.
  • Partner with the customer success team to ensure contracted revenue realization and facilitate contract renewals and upsells.
  • Contribute to process and messaging improvements for the Parallel sales playbook.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5+ years of successful experience in full-cycle sales, particularly selling to schools and school districts.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, consistently meeting and exceeding quotas.
  • Experience developing relationships and closing deals with schools in AR/MS/LA/AL is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish a footprint in new territories.
  • Deep understanding of the RFP process.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Special Education (SpEd) sales experience is a plus.
