Requirements

  • Experience supervising employees, including monitoring daily work, tracking/approving timesheets and time off, performance management (goals, check-ins, documenting concerns), and HRIS entries for promotions, transitions, and separations
  • Ability to provide financial oversight and leadership for a portfolio of office finances, including budget management, financial forecasting, and adherence to donor requirements
  • Knowledge of fiscal responsibility, compliance standards, internal controls, and procedures for spending, revenue accounting, and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Supervise finance staff at all locations in the region
  • Work with US Field Leadership staff on development and implementation of general office and department budgets
  • Determine overall financial needs with the Office/Site Director and prepare annual office budgets
  • Oversee office financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
  • Lead and facilitate monthly Budget vs. Actual (BvA) meetings and provide financial forecasting guidance to Office leadership team and Divisional Director
  • Ensure internal controls are in place and followed to prevent financial mismanagement or fraud
  • Provide training and support to finance staff in field offices to improve financial acumen and reporting accuracy
  • Work closely with leadership to improve financial sustainability and risk management
  • Oversee and implement procedures for spending, revenue accounting, and support documentation for accountability
  • Embody the organizational mission, vision, and values as a leader for staff, volunteers, clients, and the community
