Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in consulting, banking, or strategic finance roles within progressive tech companies, with a proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives and creating impact. A builder's mindset with curiosity, the ability to turn ambiguity into clarity, design scalable systems, and seek effective work methods are essential. Strong collaboration skills, operational rigor, expertise in managing complex initiatives end-to-end, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling presentations for leadership and board level decision-making are required. Experience with or a strong interest in implementing AI-powered applications and tooling within a Finance organization is an asset.

Responsibilities

The Director of Strategic Finance will report to the VP of Strategic Finance and drive the finance systems roadmap, AI and automation initiatives, and cross-functional special projects. This role involves partnering across Corporate Finance, Commercial Finance, HR, and operations to enable scale, efficiency, and impact. Responsibilities include defining and executing a roadmap for AI and automation in Strategic Finance, optimizing recurring reporting processes with automation, and supporting the build and refinement of executive-ready presentations and narratives. The role also entails designing playbooks, documentation, and self-serve resources to enhance finance process transparency and collaboration, and streamlining the headcount process by coordinating between Finance, HR, and business leaders.
