Requirements

10+ years of relevant experience in business development within the blockchain, fintech, or financial services industries
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the blockchain industry, either at a blockchain company or in a role working on blockchain technology and use cases
Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape and experience working with crypto exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms
High degree of accountability with strong ability to communicate regional progress and all outcomes at frequent intervals to stakeholders
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, with multiple stakeholders, while often working remotely
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior-level professionals
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive
Ability to travel as needed, with frequent representation of Stellar at regional meetings and conferences

Responsibilities

Drive business development work related to core priorities (DeFi, monthly addresses, asset tokenization) in coordination with Leads of each partnership vertical
Surface opportunities based on SDF’s needs and help to close deals brought by other members of BD and SDF
Assist on regulatory and government relations needs in the region, supporting the Legal, Policy, and Government Relations teams
Assist the Ecosystem team to identify, plan, and run events in the region
Serve as a key regional public-facing voice and thought leader, educating and informing the region about the Stellar ecosystem
Assist with coordination of all SDF activity in the region, from developer partnerships to financial institutions, event representation, and policy initiatives
Support the broader partnership team and company objectives, acting as shared owners of key OKRs
