Primer is dedicated to fixing the K-12 education system by empowering educators to launch microschools. We believe in providing world-class education at an accessible price point through our PrimerOS platform, which automates and reduces the costs associated with traditional schooling.

About the Role

Primer is seeking its first Internal Recruiter to lead the hiring engine for all teams. This role involves owning sourcing, candidate experience, and closing for niche talent required to solve novel problems in education. The ideal candidate will excel in both the people-facing aspects of recruiting and the systems required to build and scale a recruiting function. We are looking for someone who enjoys the "hunt," finds satisfaction in great interviews, and obsesses over crafting effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end recruiting process for key roles, focusing on quality, speed, and candidate experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers across various departments (education, operations, engineering, product, finance, etc.) to understand hiring needs and build candidate pipelines.
  • Develop and implement candidate outreach strategies, including cold sourcing, passive candidate engagement, and exploring new talent pools.
  • Manage and optimize internal hiring infrastructure for a clear and structured candidate process.
  • Quickly learn new roles and conduct first-round screening calls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, representing Primer with professionalism and enthusiasm for its mission.
  • Track and report on recruiting progress and key metrics to the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably within a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring for a diverse range of roles, from individual contributors to leadership positions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with candidates and internal teams.
  • High level of initiative and organizational skills to manage multiple searches and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
