Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Supply Chain, Quality Management, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of logistics quality experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, with a focus on process improvement
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety and Quality systems, including FDA, FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI requirements
  • Proven ability to draft policies, SOPs, and communications across distributed teams
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple locations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to prepare and present compliance and financial impact metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems and knowledge of system functionality across business units

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Hold and Release program across the Nature’s Bakery network
  • Provide direction on quality dispositions for products across the network
  • Manage the Micro Hold program to ensure containment of finished product during microbiological testing
  • Drive continuous improvement of hold/release systems, including automation, to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Lead the Traceability Program, overseeing daily inventory management and conducting Mock Recall exercises
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Operations, Distribution, Customer Service) to address issues and drive corrective actions
  • Support the obsolete inventory process, identifying and executing initiatives to reduce warehouse impact
  • Lead the Disposition Authorization process for quality-related product destructions
  • Ensure documentation (destruction and COD certificates) is provided by warehouses for full closure of hold events
  • Review vendor contracts to verify destruction compliance with GFSI standards
  • Prepare and present metrics and financial impact reports for month-end compliance and liability tracking
  • Conduct internal and external audits of warehouse and logistics facilities to ensure adherence to GFSI, FSMA, and company standards
  • Manage annual and onboarding training for warehouse, repackaging, and new co-manufacturing locations
