Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role. A strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and robust communication and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in designing and executing manual test cases and strategies, along with the capacity to efficiently troubleshoot and analyze complex software issues, is required. Experience with manual and/or automated testing of client-server applications across various platforms and familiarity with cloud-based applications and services are necessary. Fluency in English is mandatory, and a good foundation in testing theory, ISTQB certification, experience with multiple operating systems (desktop and mobile), Docker containers, VMs, file systems across Windows, Linux, and macOS, OS administration, TestRail, Jira, Scrum teams, VMware and vCenter, test automation, and programming/scripting languages like Python or JS are considered advantageous.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases, conducting thorough functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and ensure adequate test coverage, document detailed test outcomes, log defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. Additionally, the role involves managing test environments and test data preparation, and participating in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.
