Candidates must possess at least 3 years of professional QA or software testing experience, with a strong emphasis on iOS and Android mobile applications. Prior experience testing mobile chat/messaging, VoIP, or real-time communication apps is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with mobile testing tools like Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Firebase Test Lab is necessary, along with familiarity with push notifications, background services, mobile networking, and performance testing. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills on iOS and Android devices, excellent multitasking ability, flexibility, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment are critical. Experience with QA methodologies, test case design, and defect management using tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Confluence is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is preferred. Due to the role's involvement in GovCloud, all applicants must be a U.S. Person (citizen or lawful permanent resident). Experience with secure communications, encryption, or compliance-sensitive apps is a plus.
The QA Analyst will design, document, and execute test cases for iOS and Android KeeperChat applications, focusing on functionality, performance, and security. Responsibilities include performing functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing on mobile devices, with a specialization in messaging workflows. The analyst will validate push notifications, background activity, synchronization, and real-time messaging reliability across various devices and platforms. Testing of backend APIs that support secure communications and encryption is also a key duty. Collaboration with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently is expected. The role involves managing and tracking test tickets in Jira, documenting QA activities in Confluence and TestRail, and contributing to mobile automation test suites to enhance coverage. Support for testing desktop clients (Windows, macOS, Linux) may be required, demanding flexibility and multitasking. Providing QA input in Agile ceremonies to ensure mobile quality is prioritized throughout the release cycle is also a core responsibility.
