Quality Engineer

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 to 15 years of directly related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They should possess the ability to read and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, as well as write reports and procedure manuals. Candidates must be proficient in mathematical concepts, have problem-solving skills, and be able to interpret various instructions. A general knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quality Software is required, along with working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Travel may be required approximately 5%.
The Quality Engineer will develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. They will plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, testing, and integration to assure product quality. The engineer will devise sampling procedures and create forms for recording and evaluating quality data. They will establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation. Additionally, they will apply statistical process control methods, review purchased products, document quality activities, and develop new problem-solving approaches.
