Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field or at least 10 years of relevant on-the-job experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, including cloud professional certification. Applicants must be US Citizens and able to pass a federal background and drug test. A minimum of 5 years of experience in regression testing, manual testing, and developing testing automation is necessary. Experience with Agile development processes, proficiency in JIRA and Confluence, and knowledge of Amazon Web Services are essential. An AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is required, along with familiarity with AWS CloudWatch and reviewing logs. Experience using at least one testing framework, a test management tool like X-ray, proficiency in SQL, experience with Postman, and experience using relational databases are also required.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with the Project Team throughout the software life cycle to ensure product quality and performance meet client expectations. Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, understanding end-user needs, and reviewing designs to assist in defining project scope. The engineer will design, create, implement, document, and monitor manual and automated testing processes, test plans, and test cases. Key duties involve executing test plans for new software enhancements, managing the Software Testing Life Cycle, performing regression, functional, performance, usability, and user acceptance testing, and documenting test plans and outcomes in JIRA. The role also includes troubleshooting software bugs, assisting users with support tickets, creating training documentation for new releases, and staying updated on new testing strategies and best practices. Additionally, the engineer will research customer requirements, translate user stories into test scenarios, design and implement test strategies, develop repeatable test plans, troubleshoot test failures, identify potential user issues, and track and communicate bugs to developers and project managers. Performing manual and automated testing, reviewing user interfaces, and recording test steps, progress, and results are also core responsibilities.
