Requirements

Candidates must have over 5 years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Technical Presales role within a SaaS company, with proven success supporting upper mid-market or enterprise accounts, particularly in public sector environments (SLED or Federal). Strong familiarity with public sector procurement, security assessments, and RFP processes is essential. Exceptional detail orientation, strong communication skills, and the ability to craft business cases and ROI stories are also required.

Responsibilities

The Public Sector Solutions Consultant will partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, and solution scoping for public sector deals, translating customer pain points into tailored product solutions. They will manage the technical evaluation process, support complex RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and procurement steps, and serve as a subject matter expert on Fleetio's relevance in public sector fleet operations. Additionally, they will act as a liaison between departments to align solutions with customer requirements and internal constraints, contribute feedback to inform product roadmaps, and create reusable materials for the go-to-market team.
