Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • 15 years of experience in protective security
  • 10 years of experience implementing executive protection and corporate event security programs
  • 10 years of experience conducting security operations in both domestic and international, low- and high-risk environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present at the C-suite level
  • Ability to respond to security events and escalations 24/7 as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in business administration or leadership
  • Professional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP)
  • Fluency in additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or other major dialects
  • Basic or advanced medical training (e.g., EMR certification)
  • Experience with corporate aircraft and TSA regulations
  • 4 years of experience as a licensed peace officer or military police
  • Eligibility for Armed Security Officer (ASO) certification under the DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP)

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a global executive protection strategy aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance
  • Serve as the primary advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on all executive travel and security matters
  • Oversee executive protection operations including threat assessments, travel and residential security, event security, and emergency response planning
  • Develop and implement a strategic event security program in collaboration with the experiential marketing team
  • Lead a protective intelligence program using open-source and other intelligence methods to proactively identify and mitigate threats
  • Manage vendor relationships for security services and intelligence, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
  • Oversee the travel security and duty of care program in partnership with preferred vendors
  • Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and program effectiveness to senior leadership
  • Manage a team of internal and contracted security professionals and oversee the protective services budget
