Requirements

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience managing proposals, with at least 5 years focused on Department of Defense or federal government contracts. A strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations and federal procurement processes is essential, along with proven project management skills and superior writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. Strong communication and leadership skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. APMP certification or similar certifications are preferred, along with experience in Shipley proposal processes or large federal contracts.

Responsibilities

The Proposal Manager will manage the full lifecycle of proposal development, leading proposal planning and coordinating with cross-functional teams. They will ensure compliance with RFP requirements and oversee the writing, editing, and formatting of proposal content. The manager will conduct color team reviews and maintain a proposal content library to streamline future processes. They will monitor federal acquisition regulations, prepare presentations on proposal status, and track outcomes to contribute to continuous improvement.
