Requirements

  • Experience in project management, agile methodology (waterfall, scrum, Kanban), and technical expertise
  • Ability to manage concurrent technology initiatives with moderate complexity throughout their lifecycle
  • Proficiency in leading sprint ceremonies (planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, reporting)
  • Skills in developing and maintaining project documentation and artifacts
  • Experience with establishing, tracking, and reporting project progress, risks, issues, using tools like PowerBI for executive reporting and KPIs
  • Knowledge of resource time tracking, staffing needs, and capacity planning
  • Ability to run Portfolio Reviews, lead quarterly planning, establish and track OKRs
  • Expertise in portfolio planning, project road mapping, workflow diagrams, analytics, and critical thinking for process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Project manage concurrent technology initiatives with moderate complexity throughout their lifecycle, including intake, requirements definition, charter/scope definition, project plans, resource allocation/assignment, execution, and post-mortems
  • Manage tasks and resources through waterfall, scrum, or Kanban methodologies
  • Prioritize and escalate critical operational tasks, execute and revise project work plans to meet changing needs
  • Manage day-to-day activities for team members, remove blockers, maximize team throughput
  • Lead sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and artifacts in a clear and accessible manner
  • Establish, track, and report on project progress (key tasks/milestones), risks, and issues to engineering management, program management, and stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Monitor resource time tracking and identify staffing needs to optimize project delivery
  • Leverage business intelligence applications (e.g., PowerBI) for executive reporting; utilize KPIs to assess program/project/sprint planning/resource velocity health; lead corrective actions
  • Run Portfolio Reviews providing executive leadership with progress, risk assessments, portfolio/project health, resource utilization
  • Lead quarterly planning establishing priorities, OKRs, capacity plans, key performance metrics
  • Establish and track OKRs to align project outcomes with organizational goals
  • Lead quarterly portfolio planning and project road mapping, including resource capacity planning and defining OKRs
  • Create workflow diagrams to identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency
  • Apply analytics and critical thinking to identify team inefficiencies/risk areas and implement projects/processes to streamline/improve operations
  • Understand the needs and intricacies of the team
