Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of large scale and complex projects or initiatives from initiation to delivery, ensuring completion on time, with quality, and within budget
  • Designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing a project, and monitors progress and performance against it
  • Identifies, resolves, or escalates issues to minimize delays
  • Facilitates and manages the analysis of project requirements, identifies cost estimates, resources, and time required, and ensures project goals and requirements are met within time, cost, and quality parameters
  • Acts as a liaison with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project
  • Conducts project meetings and prepares regular reports to communicate project status within and beyond the project team
  • Works with stakeholders to identify and establish priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones, ensuring delivery to client satisfaction
  • Manages projects spanning a single business segment or possibly two, and/or across corporate shared services like Software Development, Information Security, IT Development, Customer Service, and Training
  • Works across internal functional areas and/or with external stakeholders
  • Manages projects requiring simple to moderately complex customizations to standard processes and plans, using project plans that may or may not include standard templates
  • Manages project plans where the solution or product mostly exists but needs simple to moderately complex modifications
  • Manages and monitors time, scope, and cost based on identified requirements; identifies issues and may need guidance for escalation within leadership or to experienced Project Managers
  • Collaborates, negotiates, and manages issues to resolution; conducts conflict management with internal/external stakeholders for requirements, delivery issues, and scope changes
  • Gathers project sizing information, ensures projects are properly estimated and timely billed
  • Monitors and tracks budget; identifies opportunities to increase revenue through value-added services and lower delivery costs to optimize productivity
  • Makes decisions within established processes and methodologies; with oversight, makes recommendations outside guidelines
  • Collaborates with internal areas like Legal, Procurement, and Finance to manage budgeting, contractual responsibilities, and impacts
