Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of construction management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in architecture, engineering, or construction management
  • Certifications: American Society of Interior Designers, American Institute of Architects, or other relevant A/E/C certification preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (with field and office personnel)
  • Experience managing complex new construction or renovation projects in a commercial environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Knowledge of building systems (MEP, interior finishes, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, and interpret contract terms and conditions
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, and tracking project performance
  • Experience working in a federal government setting
  • Experience with leased office space preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction management, deep knowledge of building systems, and experience working in a Government setting (ideal candidate)

Responsibilities

  • Manage architectural and engineering firms, suppliers, and construction contractors as necessary to execute project goals
  • Develop and manage project schedules in MS Project or similar software
  • Support the greater team in a broad range of building management services including space management, facilities and equipment maintenance, energy conservation, and system furniture planning and installation
  • Ensure contractor performance is conducted in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and quality control guidelines
  • Monitor and oversee the project design or construction effort, to include but not limited to risk management, security and safety compliance, etc
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of construction submittals and construction contract documents
  • Provide project administration and contract administration duties, including records management
