  • Ability to commit to a 4-year Level 3 Project Controls Technician Apprenticeship programme starting September 2024
  • Availability to study a blend of online and face-to-face sessions over 3 years, plus 1 year of on-the-job learning
  • Willingness to work full-time in a fast-paced, defence organisation environment with hybrid working (blended on-site/remote, subject to project needs and site access)

Responsibilities

  • Develop skills to plan and control multi-million pound projects, including detailed planning, cost collection and assignment, risk capture, identification, and mitigation
  • Work with colleagues, partners, Project Managers, Commercial, Manufacturing, Technical, and Engineering teams, as well as the Ministry of Defence and customers
  • Capture updates and information from all business areas and levels to determine next steps on projects
  • Gain experience across project phases: development, manufacturing, and assessment in the missile lifecycle
  • Receive training on essential tools such as Primavera, SAP, and ARM
  • Undertake placements in Business & Project Management team and Project Management Office
  • Contribute innovative ideas and take on increasing project responsibilities as confidence and knowledge build
  • Participate in fully supported learning and development programme while working on various business placements
