Requirements

  • Previous safety training preferred
  • Prior food industry experience a plus
  • Familiarity with bakery equipment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team structure
  • Flexibility in work assignments within the technician category (e.g., Pan Setter, Feeder, Packer/Carton, Packer/Cases, Shipping Stacker, Handler, Sanitor, Receiver, Palletizer)
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to safely and accurately complete assigned duties
  • Ability to maintain GMP standards
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl; lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to talk or hear
  • 100% onsite work

Responsibilities

  • Work as a helper on one production line in various roles (e.g., Helper, Indexer, Feeder, Packer, Catcher)
  • Perform various assigned manual labor tasks: grasp, lift, move, place, and stack items relating to production processes
  • Feed, catch, and monitor continuous operations on one production line
  • Visually inspect product for quality and quantity
  • Support quality control programs to ensure production procedures follow best practices of food safety and quality standards
  • Report all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager as soon as possible
  • Understand and comply with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations
  • Work safely and follow proper lock out/tag out procedures where applicable
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and environment pre- and post-production
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, coworkers, etc
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • May perform other duties not listed
  • Be part of the Food Defense Team
