Requirements

Candidates must have experience working as a CCMA or CMA in a clinical setting and experience training Clinical Medical Assisting online. A minimum of 5-10 years of total professional experience is required, along with experience using online teaching tools such as Canvas and Zoom. Strong presentation and facilitation skills for large audiences, robust student empathy, and excellent communication skills are essential. Applicants must reside and work within the US.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant Program Live Instructor will facilitate two live, one-hour sessions weekly for 15 weeks, covering didactic content and exam review, and prepare independently for these sessions. Responsibilities include developing and modifying lecture decks, creating engaging learning experiences with tools like Kahoot, and responding to student messages requiring medical assisting expertise within a given SLA. The instructor will also monitor discussion boards, answer student questions, and potentially grade assignments. Subject matter expertise in clinical skill development, medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, healthcare administration, clinical communication, MA scope of practice, and effective online skill-based training is crucial. Collaboration with the Learning Experience team and Instructional Designers to adjust session content may also be required.
