Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory or lead experience, or equivalent educational attainment typically acquired through a bachelor's degree. A high school diploma is required, with education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses preferred. Basic computer skills and strong communication skills are also necessary.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible, including checking daily production orders, ensuring all positions are filled before start-up, overseeing Team Member exercises and job rotation, ensuring machinery performs to standards, and conducting USDA inspections. They will also promote safety daily, ensure accurate shipments and inventory rotation, provide encouragement to Team Members, perform human relations functions such as training, counseling, and retention, oversee processing operations, keep records of reworked product, and perform continuous education on quality. Additionally, the supervisor will communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, provide other responsibilities as needed, and address problems with other supervisors.
