Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory or lead experience, or equivalent educational attainment typically acquired through a bachelor's degree. A high school diploma is required, with education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses preferred. Basic computer skills and strong communication skills are also necessary.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible, including checking daily production orders, ensuring all positions are filled before start-up, overseeing team member exercises, ensuring machinery performs to standard, promoting safety through meetings and daily practices, ensuring accurate shipments and inventory, providing encouragement to team members, performing human relations functions such as training, counseling, and retaining employees, overseeing processing operations, keeping records of reworked product, and providing continuous education on quality. They will also be responsible for performing other duties as needed, communicating company benefits and compensation policies, and traveling up to 5 times per year.
