The Microbiology Division provides solutions and workflow for food, clinical, and pharmaceutical environments. The markets we serve include food manufacturing and labs, clinical and healthcare, pharma, and biotech. We manufacture culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products serving customers in the pharmaceutical, food, and clinical laboratories.

Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Operator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Production Process Execution:
    • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and accurate production.
    • Following Work Instruction Documents meticulously to perform tasks correctly.
    • Inspecting finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Reporting any defects or issues to supervisors.
    • Following all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Material Management:
    • Managing materials efficiently, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.
    • Keeping track of inventory and reporting any discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
    • Aseptic experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Ability to push/pull up to 600lb kettles.
    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
    • Communicate well, both verbally and written in English.
    • Able to perform basic math.
  • Environmental Conditions:
    • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
    • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
    • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed.
    • Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery).
    • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.).
    • Standing for full shift.
    • Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.).
    • Warehouse.
