Position Overview

Join the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) at our Sunnyvale, CA site as a key member of the manufacturing lab team. You will be responsible for synthesizing and testing ion exchange media essential for chromatography consumables, contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions in the industry.

  • Second Shift (Afternoons): Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Overtime and weekend hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test resin products using specialized instruments to meet customer demand.
  • Accurately record and report test results, maintaining proper documentation.
  • Complete production work-orders in accordance with established procedures.
  • Adhere to corporate quality policy to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Follow all safety requirements and actively participate in safety improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practices (GLP/GMP) and standards.
    • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to read and understand written procedures (SOPs) and follow verbal instructions.
    • Familiarity with regularly used hand tools (e.g., wrenches, torque drivers, tweezers).
    • PC literate with experience in spreadsheet and database software.
    • Knowledge of Chromatography software and chemistry experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Lifting: Able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Mobility: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle and feel.
  • Vision: Visual abilities required to detect small components and particles.
  • Environmental Conditions:
    • Laboratory Setting
    • Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
    • Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products, etc.)
    • Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles.
    • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Some degree of PPE is required, including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, and earplugs. All company-provided PPE includes lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, face shields, and safety shoes. A P95 mask is required in areas with solvent fume exposure.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Range: $21.42 – $32.13 (estimated for California)
