Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in production scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is required, with experience in defense or advanced technology products being a plus. Strong knowledge of production scheduling software, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, are essential. Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and strong problem-solving abilities are necessary. Familiarity with DoD production standards and regulatory compliance is preferred, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
The Production Scheduler will develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet deadlines and project milestones for autonomous surface vessels. They will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between design, procurement, and production needs. Monitoring and tracking production progress, identifying potential scheduling conflicts or delays, and taking corrective action will be part of their duties. They will coordinate with the procurement team to ensure material availability, manage and update project timelines in response to changes, and communicate schedules and status updates to internal stakeholders. Additionally, they will optimize production resources for efficiency, maintain documentation related to production schedules, and assist in planning test runs and quality checks.
