They must have at least 6 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic analysis within the cybersecurity industry, along with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights and recommendations. Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and industry players is strongly preferred.
The Product Marketing Director will conduct continuous competitive research by monitoring earnings calls, analyst reports, third-party tools, field intelligence, and the use of AI to uncover strategic insights that inform deal strategy and sales enablement. They will perform detailed analyses of cybersecurity competitors, including product features, pricing models, market positioning, and customer perceptions. The role involves monitoring industry trends, emerging threats, and technological advancements within the cybersecurity landscape, collaborating with product marketing, sales, and product management teams to support competitive positioning and strategic initiatives. They will develop and maintain competitive intelligence resources, perform competitive research to gain firsthand insights into competitor sales tactics, and provide timely alerts and briefings to internal stakeholders on competitive moves. Furthermore, the Product Marketing Director will lead competitive win-loss analysis projects, present competitive intelligence findings to executives, and support competitive deal support, objection handling, and strategic positioning.
