Requirements

  • 8–10+ years in product or marketing roles with a record of launching and scaling consumer products
  • Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Strong grasp of consumer behavior, digital engagement, and competitive dynamics
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership, influence, and relationship-management skills in a matrixed environment
  • Proven ability to turn data and research into actionable strategy and measurable outcomes
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with financial services, fintech, or complex digital ecosystems (industry experience encouraged, not required)
  • Innovative, analytical mindset; comfortable with modern marketing trends and technologies

Responsibilities

  • Lead go-to-market strategy for consumer platform enhancements, tools, and experience improvements
  • Define success metrics for launch, engagement, adoption, and satisfaction with analytics and product partners
  • Manage launch readiness across marketing, service, and digital channels to ensure a unified experience
  • Develop the platform value proposition and lifecycle messaging frameworks from onboarding through retention
  • Shape participant communications and in-product messaging for clarity, personalization, and consistency
  • Collaborate with creative teams—and when needed, write or refine copy—for web, product, and email to humanize complex topics
  • Guide content strategy across web, in-product, and retention channels; integrate explainers and thought leadership
  • Connect B2C and B2B narratives so participants, plan sponsors, and intermediaries hear a consistent story
  • Partner with Product, UX, Technology, Brand Marketing, and Data Science to inform roadmap priorities from market and customer insight
  • Align launch and lifecycle initiatives with Empower’s broader brand and revenue strategies
  • Use data, experimentation, and AI tools to personalize and scale participant marketing experiences
  • Translate consumer and competitive insights into recommendations that strengthen the digital value proposition
  • Represent the voice of the customer in executive and cross-functional forums
