Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 15 years of work experience at a leading financial institution or investment research platform firm as a Product/Content Manager focused on delivering content, features, analytics, and models for front-office investment professionals. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing or working closely with a sizable globally distributed content generation operation is required. Expert knowledge of various market data and investment research databases, products, and tools, including Fundamentals, Estimates, M&A Transactions data, Ownership data, Market data, Excel plug-ins, and XML feeds, is essential. The role requires demonstrated ability to lead a dedicated cross-functional development team of engineers, data experts, QA, and a scrum master. A thorough understanding of relational databases, such as SQL, is necessary, with demonstrated experience being strongly preferred. A BSc, MSc, or MBA degree with a concentration in finance or economics, or a CFA certification, is required. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for corporate finance, capital markets, financial analysis, and modeling, either through previous roles as a buy-side or sell-side analyst or by managing products/features/data used by investment professionals. Enthusiasm for working at the intersection of data, technology, and finance is crucial. Experience in designing, building, launching, and managing a marquee product, module, or functionality for the investment community, or setting the foundation and successfully running an extensive content generation operation, is highly valued. Excellent skills in aligning diverse, cross-functional teams through clear, persuasive communication and executive-level presentations are necessary, along with empathic communication abilities to identify problems and provide solutions. Strong analytical and technical skills are also required.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will oversee M&A Transactions and Funding Rounds and Valuations content, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data and features for financial research platforms and investment analysis workflows. This includes managing the content lifecycle from identification and collection to licensing and integration, working with both self-sourced and third-party content providers. The role involves collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, data experts, and QA, to develop and launch product enhancements. Responsibilities also include leveraging expertise in capital markets and investment research to inform product strategy and execution, and potentially managing a globally distributed content generation operation.
