Position Summary
The Product Manager II will focus on enhancing the developer experience for EasyPost's shipping APIs. This includes making it easier for developers across all customer segments to understand, use, debug, and get help with our APIs, as well as increasing developer productivity within our carrier engineering organization. The role involves driving a product roadmap based on analysis, developer interviews, and internal feedback to delight customers and scale our carrier platform. This position requires collaboration across multiple teams, including Engineering, Customer Support, and Business Development, offering a significant opportunity to impact our developer community and business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build, evangelize, and execute a shared vision and strategy for internal and external developer experiences.
- Conduct market assessments to stay current with industry trends, benchmark performance, and identify gaps.
- Understand internal and external developer personas, identify user needs and pain points, and translate them into detailed, actionable product requirements.
- Drive product development with multiple teams of engineers, designers, and program managers.
- Identify cross-ownership opportunities with partner teams and lead cross-organizational product efforts.
- Define and analyze metrics to measure progress towards success.
Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Master’s degree with 1+ years of related experience OR equivalent related work experience.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Experience defining vision and strategy for a technical product.
- Experience managing a full product lifecycle, incorporating customer feedback into product requirements, and driving prioritization.
- 3+ years of experience as a software developer or working with developers as customers.
- Experience working with APIs, SDKs, developer experience, and white label experiences.
- Strong understanding of the developer community and a passion for developer products and tools.
- Proven ability to drive impact through cross-functional leadership.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possesses a "get-stuff-done" attitude, positive energy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
