Director, Program Management - eCommerce

Position Overview
Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Program Management to oversee the development and execution of a new eCommerce business. This role requires a dynamic and results-driven leader who excels in managing complex projects independently, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The Director will play a key role in establishing the structure, frameworks, and operating model for a newly formed team, collaborating across functions, and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement the foundational structure, frameworks, and operating model for a new eCommerce team.
- Lead end-to-end management of digital and omnichannel programs, including go-to-market planning and execution, development and ownership of readiness strategy, and robust testing plans/frameworks for successful product launches.
- Serve as the primary contact for all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters—coordinating required reviews and ensuring full adherence to company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT, Operations, Marketing, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and integration across business functions.
- Establish and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; proactively identify and resolve risks or obstacles and own milestone adherence.
- Develop and monitor rubrics for program performance, analyze key metrics, and provide concise updates to senior leadership.
- Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster clear, consistent communication across all levels of the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform ongoing program strategy and execution.
Requirements
- Natural leadership instincts with proven ability to innovate and influence.
- 8+ years leading digital programs or projects, ideally within eCommerce or digital retail.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling new teams, including creation of operational frameworks, team structure, and governance models.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage go-to-market checklists, testing strategies, and frameworks.
- Direct experience managing legal, regulatory, and compliance reviews in a digital or eCommerce environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of working independently in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Ability to drive results in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Travel
While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Pay Range: $168,000 - $231,000 per year
- Note: This range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay. Actual pay will vary based on geographic location, demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
- Bonus Incentive: This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
