Workera is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Designer to join their team. This role focuses on shaping the future of workforce upskilling by designing intuitive, AI-powered experiences. You will work in small, nimble project teams using the ShapeUp methodology, deeply focusing on solving specific business problems over six-week cycles. As a designer, you will help define problem spaces, create wireframes and prototypes, and bring interfaces to life, all while advocating for the user. You will also act as a key thought partner to product and engineering leads, balancing functionality with simplicity and ensuring the AI-native platform is both powerful and human-centered.

About Your Team

This Product Designer will lead the design of admin and analytics experiences for Workera's skill development platform. Key focus areas include designing intuitive workflows for program creation, user enrollment, license management, and HR tech integrations (e.g., Workday). You will also design analytics tools to surface insights on skill readiness, program progress, and employee engagement. This role requires strong systems thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for simplifying complex data and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to overall strategy and decision-making regarding product direction.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering managers to research customer goals and challenges.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to validate design decisions and contribute to a library of insights to evangelize customer needs.
  • Refine insights and wireframe new experiences to shape customer problems and opportunities, iterating rapidly with low-fidelity prototypes.
  • Partner closely with engineers to evolve solutions from concepts to polished, high-fidelity interfaces and experiences.
  • Experiment with generative AI technologies to design intuitive experiences leveraging Workera’s AI-native capabilities.
  • Design agentic AI workflows that balance automation with user control, ensuring AI output is observable, correctable, and aligned with human goals.
  • Collaborate with product design teammates to ensure a consistent and quality user experience across the platform.
  • Use, contribute to, and help evolve Workera’s design system and visual language.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience designing digital products (UX + UI).
  • Experience designing SaaS solutions.
  • Experience with design systems and strong system-level thinking.
  • Ability to design simple solutions for complex user problems.
  • Humility and willingness to act on design feedback in an iterative process.
  • Proficiency in utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT or equivalent digital assistants and applying them effectively in a work context.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with the corporate skills development industry.
  • Understanding or experience with designing human-in-the-loop or AI agent interfaces.
