The Design team at Addepar is responsible for shaping the digital experiences of investment professionals. Through the creation and delivery of intuitive, user-friendly products, we enable these professionals to grow their businesses and provide exceptional client services. Our approach is agile and high-growth, fostering a client-centered environment that prioritizes constructive feedback and collaboration.

We are looking for a motivated Product Design Manager to lead our portfolio data management and platform administration experience. This player-coach role involves leading a small team of product designers and hands-on driving the design transformation of our existing best-in-class products, in close collaboration with product and engineering partners. You and your team will elevate the user experience through intuitive, scalable workflows, enterprise-grade permission features, and the adoption of our modern design system, Addepar Design Language.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, or UX Design.
• Leadership: 1+ year of experience leading and managing a team.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design practices, design fundamentals, and product thinking.
• Product Launches: Proven track record of guiding design and development teams through successful product launches and continuous improvements.
• SaaS Experience: Experience designing web experiences for SaaS products and platforms catering to a multifaceted user base across various segments, from small businesses to large enterprises.
• Tools: Proficiency in Figma, our preferred design and prototyping tool.

Responsibilities

• Design Vision: Provide design vision and thought leadership for Addepar’s product offerings and platform, informed by user research and data.
• Collaboration: Partner with product management, engineering leads, and other internal stakeholders to establish and align on objectives, strategies, solutions, processes, deliverables, and development plans.
• Team Management: Build and manage a diverse, high-performing team of product designers. Lead, empower, and mentor team members to achieve their best work, providing regular constructive critique and fostering learning opportunities to encourage growth.
• Design System: Collaborate with the design system team and design leads across Addepar's platform to ensure a cohesive end-to-end client experience that embodies our brand.
• Strategic Initiatives: Drive and contribute to strategic design initiatives. Work with other design leads to improve and scale existing design patterns, rituals, and tools, cultivating a culture of design excellence.
• Feedback & Improvement: Actively seek and incorporate feedback from peers, direct reports, collaborators, and cross-functional leadership.
