Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Min 2 years of experience in sourcing with product procurement: plastics, assembled parts, electronics, mechanics, metal etc
  • Good understanding of sourcing methodologies
  • Experience with hands on analysis and data interpretation; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • English (written and spoken) - Fluent
  • Project management expertise with the ability to carry projects from planning through implementation
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior leaders and stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills with ability to understand opportunities, create value and solve complex problems
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work in virtual, geographically dispersed, cross-cultural teams

Responsibilities

  • Supports the creation and/or execution of sourcing strategies for the assigned category with the help of Global and Regional Category Managers and Technical Procurement Project Managers
  • Supports cross functional supplier selection activities and management of formal strategic sourcing and RFx processes including supplier identification and supplier due diligence activities
  • Performs proposal analysis, including price analyses, “Should Cost” modelling, benchmarking and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Supports development of negotiation strategy, including targets for costs and key commercial/business terms
  • Evaluates financial stability of suppliers and manages supplier risks as needed
  • Champions use of eSourcing, Spend Visibility, and R2P tools within category; leverages and utilizes eAuctions where appropriate
  • Support or drive price and contract negotiations, in alignment with Category Management
  • Present decision recommendation to the Sourcing Decision Board to ensure a transparent and aligned decision making
  • Documents sourcing project progress (status and outcomes) to the Sourcing Project Office
  • Ensures full documentation (RFQs documents, contracts and data & price maintenance at each sourcing project closure
  • Demonstrates the highest ethical standards and ensures Fresenius procedures are adopted and followed
  • Conducts global supplier identification efforts and execute supplier due diligence
  • Generates proposal / quote comparisons and compiles detailed assessment of cost breakdowns
