Requirements

Passionate about executing and managing critical and complex supplier subcontracts
Experience working collaboratively with UK and/or international suppliers while protecting the commercial position
British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship
Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
Experience or keen to learn in procurement subcontract management (e.g., negotiation, contract and terms and conditions)
Strong problem-solving skills for daily resolutions
Ability to provide continuous support and co-operation to senior internal and external customers
Skilled at continually improving opportunities, analysing situations, presenting possibilities, and balancing risk
Multitasking ability in a collaborative, team-focused environment
Willingness to travel to suppliers in the UK, Europe, and potentially internationally

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation, negotiation, implementation, and performance of subcontracts across the entire life cycle of missiles and missile systems
Ensure contracts are effectively managed to time, cost, and quality for delivery of high value and sophisticated sub-systems
Provide commercial guidance to internal customers and manage risk and opportunity to safeguard MBDA's interests
Prepare and execute subcontracts with existing partners or as a result of tendering activities
Oversee subcontract amendments to ensure they remain topical and in compliance with latest contracting standards and legislation
Undertake performance management activities to ensure suppliers deliver in line with subcontract obligations
Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships with suppliers in the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world
Identify and mitigate commercial and business risks relating to responsible suppliers
Obtain quotations and other critical intelligence from suppliers to enable MBDA to bid for new business
Partner with suppliers around the world to enable MBDA to provide world-leading defence capabilities
