Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) from an accredited university. Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or engineering roles within a complex manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Global mindset: Experience working with global suppliers and understanding international supply chain dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and execution of sourcing strategies for NPI programs within the MR modality, identifying and selecting preferred suppliers globally
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Quality teams, early involving suppliers to influence design decisions for optimal manufacturability, cost, and supply chain robustness
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers and technologies that align with NPI requirements. Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead cost analysis initiatives, negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, and implement cost reduction strategies for new products
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks associated with new product introductions, including capacity constraints, quality issues, and geopolitical factors
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to suppliers and internal teams on material specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the NPI sourcing process, leveraging best practices and lean methodologies
  • Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to GE Precision Healthcare's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices
