Requirements

Candidates must possess a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with over 5 years of experience in AI or related areas, including at least 3 years focused on supply chain problems. Proficiency in Python and modern ML/AI frameworks like PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, and OpenAI is essential, as is a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their effective fine-tuning or prompting in agentic settings. Strong front-end development skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and UI frameworks such as Streamlit, React, or Angular are required, along with demonstrated ability to work on open-ended problems and prototype quickly. Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake) is also necessary. Prior experience with core business processes in Supply Chain or Operations, or familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP, is preferred.

Responsibilities

The AI Engineer will develop and deploy generative AI models and user interfaces for supply chain use cases, including fine-tuning large pre-trained LLMs and optimizing solutions. They will develop and deploy AI logic layers to integrate with OR/ML models for supply chain functions like demand forecasting, inventory optimization, logistics routing, supplier risk prediction, and network optimization. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, IT, and business teams to align technical solutions with business needs, and partnering with solution architects and data scientists to ensure appropriate data flow and modeling. Responsibilities also include ensuring models and UIs are robust, scalable, and production-ready with monitoring and feedback loops, and staying current with emerging technologies to enhance supply chain optimization.
