Requirements

  • Report to the Executive Director, Procurement Contracts
  • Proficiency utilizing evolving technological tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP/Ariba Procure to Pay Suite including eSourcing, Ariba Contract Management and Ariba Buyer, Microsoft Teams)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly verbally and in writing with diverse constituents at all levels of a large organization
  • Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions for complex agreements and statements of work
  • Ability to direct supplier negotiation for Non-Merchandise/Not for Resale transactions
  • Capability to manage a diverse group of individuals across multiple locations to complete projects accurately, completely, and within timelines
  • Full-time employment availability

Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop contract negotiation playbooks, clause libraries, policies, and processes to support specific categories
  • Provide dedicated training and education to Procurement Contracts organization members for category-specific needs
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned categories in procurement planning and contracts process
  • Proactively build, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and decision-makers
  • Review and comment on all RFI, RFP, RFQ, and contracts created by Enterprise Procurement
  • Develop a continuous performance improvement culture
  • Implement contract modifications for regulatory, legislative, industry, or legal changes
  • Collaborate with Legal, Sourcing (IT and Non-IT), IT Security, Risk Management, Privacy Legal, Vendor Assessment, Compliance, Internal Audit, Tax, and Finance areas to discuss and incorporate new developments into contract templates
  • Lead discussions and revisions to contract language, finalizing new templates through internal subject matter experts
  • Anticipate needs of internal stakeholders for assigned categories to support key initiatives under tight deadlines
  • Lead presentations, webinars, and roundtable discussions to engage and educate business departments on compliance with Corporate Purchasing and Contracts Policies
  • Lead activities ensuring suppliers meet defined requirements, goals, and targets
  • Closely collaborate with business teams, executive leaders, Legal, and other stakeholders to advance CVS Health interests with third-party vendors
  • Potentially manage diverse teams to ensure project completion
