Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field; or 4 years of relevant work experience
3 years of relevant customer service and/or procurement experience
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills (desired)
Familiarity with Maximo and Cognos (preferred)
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers (desired)
Responsibilities
Supports Procurement Consultants, Procurement Specialists, and Category Managers in the execution of sourcing and contracting initiatives
Supports analytical work including spend analytics, market complexity, data collection, performance metrics, risk considerations, pricing, total cost of ownership, demand planning, and reporting
Assists with sourcing strategy development, decision making, and contract negotiations
May lead or direct less complex sourcing activities
Monitors and maintains contract supplier services for the Contract Labor Program within AEP's Corporate Procurement
Plans and coordinates intermediate-level procurement initiatives related to the Contract Labor Program
Serves as the procurement liaison and point of contact between program suppliers and internal stakeholders
Builds and maintains strong relationships with all staffing agencies and suppliers
Participates in the evaluation of service performance, supplier quality, and pricing structure to ensure optimal levels
Supports day-to-day program activities utilizing the vendor management system, including addressing pricing questions/issues, terms of the program agreement, consulting with hiring managers on business requirements, communicating program benefits, educating stakeholders, coordinating position-testing, running reports, enforcing compliance, and working with Accounts Payable on invoice issues
Facilitates change management regarding strategic initiatives and relationship building efforts among suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Procurement, including identifying and remediating systemic issues, conducting educational sessions, and coordinating onboarding/offboarding activities
