Requirements

2+ years as a contracts administrator negotiating complex agreements
Demonstrated experience partnering with business stakeholders to drive contracts to successful execution
Experience building efficient risk management frameworks to maximize efficiency and transparency
Demonstrated experience with government and commercial agreements, SaaS and software contracts, and technology procurement
Comfortable navigating and updating contract lifecycle management, matter management, and electronic signature tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interpret and explain commercial and legal issues concisely to various audiences
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and contract negotiations simultaneously, proactively managing teams and escalating issues
Preferred: Certificate from an ABA approved paralegal or legal studies program (JDs welcome)
Plus: Experience with Salesforce, Ironclad, Docusign, and/or managing legal matters in a Jira board

Responsibilities

Assist with and/or drive opportunity assessments (RFQ/RFP), customer agreements, and vendor relationships
Review, draft, and negotiate customer and third-party contracts (e.g., school districts, vendors, content licensing, MSAs, work orders, amendments, NDAs)
Pivot between reviewing/negotiating inbound and outbound agreements
Serve as primary point of contact for internal teams (Sales, IT, Finance, People, Product, Marketing, Information Security) to liaise with Legal on commercial transactions
Escalate specific commercial transactional and privacy issues to counsel for approval
Interpret and explain complex contractual requirements and risks to internal stakeholders and external parties
Independently manage end-to-end contract lifecycle (template generation, reviewing, negotiating, drafting, post-signature activities) for RFPs, customer contracts, data protection documents, and vendor contracts
Develop and improve strategies/processes for sourcing, vendor management, negotiation, productivity, and customer/vendor relationships
