Candidates must possess a JD from a top-tier accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in the US jurisdiction where they reside. They should have at least 3 years of experience with commercial transactions and data privacy compliance. In-depth experience in drafting and negotiating contracts is required, along with expertise in data privacy regulations and cybersecurity laws such as GDPR and CCPA. Experience with privacy by design and CIPP certification is a plus, as is in-house experience at a technology company or in financial services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines are essential.
The Privacy and Contracts Counsel will advise the company on data privacy matters and manage the data privacy compliance program in collaboration with compliance and security teams. They will build and manage the legal components of the third-party risk management program, negotiate and draft contracts with vendors, and develop corporate governance policies and procedures in alignment with applicable laws and industry standards.
