Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with over 10 years of software engineering experience focusing on Python, Go, or Java. A strong understanding of RESTful API design and development is required, along with at least 2 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems (cloud technologies or Kubernetes), event-driven technologies (Kafka, Apache Storm/Flink), and Big Data technologies (Apache Spark/Databricks). Proficiency in Redis and databases like Cassandra/Datastax is also necessary. The role requires U.S. citizenship to support government accounts.
The Principal Software Engineer will design, develop, and test software for cloud-based network configuration and reporting systems, focusing on highly scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-scale distributed applications. Responsibilities include developing microservices using Python and/or Go, event-driven systems using Python and Java, and software for real-time data pipelines and batch processing. The engineer will also develop ETL pipelines for ML model training and inference using big-data frameworks, implement metrics, monitoring, and structured logging, and write comprehensive tests for continuous delivery. Collaboration within a DevOps style, lean team environment is expected.
