Requirements

Candidates must be qualified accountants or CFA charterholders, or be in the process of obtaining these qualifications. A strong background in constructing and reviewing valuation models, including DCF, comparable company/bond, and intangible asset models, is essential. Experience managing valuation deliveries, responding to price challenges, and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required. Knowledge of specific industry sectors such as Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, Food & Drug Retailing, Healthcare Providers & Services, or Software & IT Services is beneficial. Proven ability in building and maintaining client relationships, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating with internal teams is necessary. Exceptional energy, drive, stamina, adaptability, influential skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills are also key requirements.

Responsibilities

The Principal, Private Market Valuations will deliver post-trade valuation services for alternative investments, including debt and equity positions, to clients in the private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund sectors. Responsibilities include performing valuations across diverse industries and geographies using accepted approaches, presenting analyses and conclusions in written reports, and handling client valuation queries. The role involves contributing to the design and enhancement of financial models, liaising with valuation committees on methodology, interacting with auditors for regulatory requests, and collaborating with internal developers on new technology. Building and maintaining client relationships, attending industry events, and managing workload prioritization are also key duties.
